Here at EARS we are huge supporters of our regional K9 Teams, and we are proud to support them through training opportunities, 24/7 emergency response, veterinary outreach, and fundraising for both veterinary care and equipment needs. Within our team we have selected individuals who are assigned to working with our K9 Critical Care Team, and these individuals have gone through additional training, study, and work which focuses on how they can better serve the needs of “Operational K9s.” Some of the dog teams we work with include police dogs, military working dogs, search dogs, and many others. We haven’t often shared a lot about what this specialized team within EARS does, but in the coming weeks you will have the chance to learn a lot more about the K9TECC work through some behind-the-scenes features we will be sharing on our website and Facebook page. There will even be some video interviews and more clips from our training events!
We look forward to giving people a look at this often unseen part of the work we do! And hope that it will also provide a better understanding of just how important these K9s are to the security and safety of the humans that they help each and every day, just as much as their human counterparts in police, fire, and EMS departments. Would you like to know more about the work we do with Operational K9s? If you have questions we invite you to email them to us at firstname.lastname@example.org, and we’ll use those to present some future information!
